MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – March 15, 2010 5:00 PM
Selectmen Present: Eric R. Munson, Jr., Steven DellaGiustina and Thomas Paine
Also, Present: Wayne Carr, Department of Public Works, Superintendent
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted.
The Board of Selectmen discussed an article that was printed in a local newspaper;
Open Meeting Law changes that take effect July 1.
“Brings the law into 21st century by saying that a quorum of a public body cannot deliberate on certain public business via electronic mail or any other medium.”
Reviewed the Department of Public Works and Winter Roads Fiscal 2011 budget with Wayne Carr. Discussed a “Plan of Work” for the Department of Public Works and Chapter 90 budget.
The culvert located on Colebrook River Road was discussed.
The Board of Selectmen is requesting that the Department of Public Works employees wear the uniforms that are being provided.
A balance remains in the April Nor’easter account. The Selectboard has required Wayne to complete all the projects that the monies were intended for.
